SheetStage is an app for viewing and annotating your own sheet music (PDF files) on an Android tablet. This policy explains what happens to your data. The short version: SheetStage does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data, with one specific exception described below (the optional Spotify feature).

What data the app uses

SheetStage works entirely on your device by default. It uses:

• The sheet-music folder you choose yourself, and the PDF and image files inside it. The app reads these files only to display them; it never copies, uploads, or transmits them.
• The annotations (drawn strokes) you make, and the setlists you create. These are stored in a database on your device. The app also automatically writes backup copies of this data (setlists and annotations) into the same folder you already chose, so you can recover them if the app is reinstalled — these backups never leave your device.
• App settings, such as your language and drawing preferences.

What the app does not do

• By default, the app does not connect to the internet. No usage data, personal information, or analytics is ever collected or transmitted.
• It does not collect personal information, usage statistics, analytics, or crash reports.
• It contains no advertising and no third-party tracking of any kind.
• It does not share your data with anyone, except as described below for the optional Spotify feature.

Optional: Spotify integration

SheetStage includes an optional, hidden feature that lets you link a song to a track on Spotify instead of a local audio file. This feature is off by default and only reachable through a deliberate action in Settings — most users will never encounter it. If you choose to use it:

• The app connects to Spotify's own app and servers to let you search for tracks and control playback. This requires an internet connection and uses the internet permission declared in the app.
• You log in with your own Spotify account, handled entirely by Spotify's own app — SheetStage never sees, requests, or stores your Spotify password.
• What Spotify itself does with your account data and usage is governed by Spotify's own privacy policy, not this one.
• If you never enable this feature, none of the above applies to you, and the "does not connect to the internet" description above holds fully.

Sharing and export — controlled entirely by you

SheetStage can share a PDF or export your annotations, but only when you actively choose to. When you tap "Share", Android's own share menu opens and you decide where the file goes. When you export annotations to a file or another tablet, you choose the destination folder. The app never sends anything on its own.

Device backup

Android may include SheetStage's data (your annotations, setlists, and settings) in the automatic backup of your device to your own Google account, if you have that feature enabled in your Android settings. This backup is handled by Android and Google, goes to your own account, and is not accessible to the developer of SheetStage. You can control or disable this in your device's backup settings.

Children

Aside from the optional Spotify feature described above, SheetStage does not collect any data and is suitable for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.

SheetStage is een app om je eigen bladmuziek (PDF-bestanden) te bekijken en van aantekeningen te voorzien op een Android-tablet. Dit beleid legt uit wat er met je gegevens gebeurt. De korte versie: SheetStage verzamelt, verstuurt en deelt geen enkel gegeven van jou, met één specifieke uitzondering die hieronder beschreven staat (de optionele Spotify-functie).

Welke gegevens de app gebruikt

SheetStage werkt standaard volledig op je toestel. De app gebruikt:

• De bladmuziekmap die je zelf kiest, en de PDF- en afbeeldingsbestanden daarin. De app leest deze bestanden alleen om ze te tonen; ze worden nooit gekopieerd, geüpload of verstuurd.
• De aantekeningen (getekende streken) die je maakt en de setlists die je aanmaakt. Die worden opgeslagen in een database op je toestel. De app schrijft ook automatisch back-upkopieën van deze gegevens (setlists en aantekeningen) naar diezelfde map die je zelf al gekozen hebt, zodat je ze kunt herstellen na een herinstallatie — deze back-ups verlaten nooit je toestel.
• App-instellingen, zoals je taal- en tekenvoorkeuren.

Wat de app niet doet

• Standaard maakt de app geen verbinding met internet. Er worden nooit gebruiksgegevens, persoonlijke informatie of analytics verzameld of verstuurd.
• De app verzamelt geen persoonlijke gegevens, gebruiksstatistieken, analytics of crashrapporten.
• De app bevat geen advertenties en geen enkele vorm van tracking door derden.
• De app deelt je gegevens met niemand, behalve zoals hieronder beschreven voor de optionele Spotify-functie.

Optioneel: Spotify-koppeling

SheetStage bevat een optionele, verborgen functie waarmee je een lied kunt koppelen aan een track op Spotify in plaats van een lokaal audiobestand. Deze functie staat standaard uit en is alleen bereikbaar via een bewuste actie in Instellingen — de meeste gebruikers komen deze functie nooit tegen. Kies je ervoor deze te gebruiken:

• De app maakt verbinding met Spotify's eigen app en servers om te kunnen zoeken naar tracks en afspelen te bedienen. Dit vereist een internetverbinding en gebruikt de internettoestemming die de app declareert.
• Je logt in met je eigen Spotify-account, volledig afgehandeld door Spotify's eigen app — SheetStage ziet, vraagt of bewaart je Spotify-wachtwoord nooit.
• Wat Spotify zelf met je accountgegevens en gebruik doet, valt onder Spotify's eigen privacybeleid, niet onder dit beleid.
• Schakel je deze functie nooit in, dan is niets van het bovenstaande op jou van toepassing, en geldt de beschrijving "maakt geen verbinding met internet" hierboven onverkort.

Delen en exporteren — volledig door jou bepaald

SheetStage kan een PDF delen of je aantekeningen exporteren, maar alleen wanneer je daar zelf voor kiest. Als je op "Delen" tikt, opent het deelmenu van Android zelf en bepaal jij waar het bestand naartoe gaat. Als je aantekeningen exporteert naar een bestand of een andere tablet, kies jij de doelmap. De app verstuurt nooit iets uit zichzelf.

Back-up van het toestel

Android kan de gegevens van SheetStage (je aantekeningen, setlists en instellingen) meenemen in de automatische back-up van je toestel naar je eigen Google-account, als je die functie hebt ingeschakeld in je Android-instellingen. Deze back-up wordt verzorgd door Android en Google, gaat naar je eigen account, en is niet toegankelijk voor de ontwikkelaar van SheetStage. Je kunt dit beheren of uitschakelen in de back-upinstellingen van je toestel.

Kinderen

Afgezien van de optionele Spotify-functie hierboven, verzamelt SheetStage geen enkel gegeven en is geschikt voor alle leeftijden.

Wijzigingen in dit beleid

Als dit beleid wijzigt, wordt de bijgewerkte versie op deze pagina geplaatst met een nieuwe datum bovenaan.
